Travel Inspired Nails: Normandy, France
Bonjour! The husband and I just returned from a 3 day trip to Normandy in France. It was such a wonderful trip. Busy, but wonderful. It went by so fast too I still feel like it was all just a dream!
Before we left I had my neighbor do my nails for the trip. She always does such a great job! She loved this manicure so much she did the same on her nails and toes too. Twinning!
Since we were going to Normandy, I thought I'd do a sort of "military" style of manicure, reminiscent of the rank patches that the solider's would have worn on their uniforms.
Here is what you will need:
Nail strengthener for the base coat
OPI Alpine Snow polish
Twinkled T Nail Vinyls in Chevron
Gold shimmer nail polish of your choice, I like Zoya
Seche Vite dry fast top coat

Start by applying the nail strengthener as the base coat. Paint the nails with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Allow to dry between each layer as white polishes tend to be streaky. Making sure the nail is dry, place the chevron stencil and paint over with a gold polish of your choice. I chose to do the two middle fingers and the thumbs for mine but you can choose whichever you'd like! Allow to dry a few minutes, then carefully pull off the stencil. Finish with Seche Vite top coat and let the nails completely dry.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy travel inspired manicure. Let me know if you try it!
Have a wonderful day!
Ali
